Interview Cake licenses:
Unfortunately, due to delays with the timing of the hackathon, the Interview Cake access codes expired before we were able to distribute them. I sincerely apologize for this. We have reached out to…

Final reminder for submissions

Hey everyone,

Final reminder — the hackathon ends in 2 hours, and there are still plenty of prizes left.

If you’ve built anything, submit it. This is a beginner-friendly event, so don’t stress about complexity. Simple ideas, small games, or even weird/fun mechanics are totally fine.

Submitting is worth it:

- Guaranteed prizes still available

- Looks great on resumes and college apps

- Certificate for everyone who ships a project

Even a rough or last-minute project counts.

Don’t overthink it — submit what you have before time’s up.

Hackathon deadline extended by 2 days

Hey everyone,

We’ve decided to extend the hackathon by 2 more days.

Since this week shifted into weekdays and most of our participants are students, we’ve been getting a lot of emails asking for a bit more time. A lot of people want to participate or finish their projects but are tied up with school, homework, or other weekday commitments. Rather than have people rush or miss out entirely, we’re giving everyone some extra time to actually build and submit.

New deadline: 2 days from now (same time).

If you already submitted

Thank you — seriously. Getting your project…

Frisco Hacks 2026 Hackathon Begins!

The hackathon has officially started.

We kicked off today at 11:00 AM CST, so you can begin building now.

  • Your game must be original.

Prizes will be sent out 1–2 weeks after winners are announced, so keep an eye on your email (and spam folder). All participants who submit will receive a certificate.

Frisco Hacks 2026 starting soon!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check in because we are officially 3 days away! We kick off this Monday, February 9th at 11:00 AM CST.

Since this is a beginner-focused hackathon, don't overthink the "rules." We aren't looking for the most complex code in the world. We’re looking for creative ideas. If you can build a game with a unique or weird mechanic that makes people go "oh, that’s cool," you’ve got a massive shot at winning.

Why bother? Placement here looks great on college apps or a resume. You’re competing in a multi-sponsored event, and everyone gets a certificate…
