Green Track

Inspiration

The increasing environmental challenges and the lack of transparency in traditional supply chains inspired us to create a solution that promotes ethical sourcing, sustainability, and consumer empowerment. Leveraging blockchain technology, we aimed to build a platform that fosters trust and transparency for both businesses (B2B) and consumers (B2C) while integrating financial literacy and environmental awareness into economic ecosystems. This project aligns with our commitment to tackling issues like waste management, carbon emissions, and unsustainable practices.

What it does

Green Track is an innovative decentralized supply chain management platform that utilizes blockchain technology to address environmental and ethical challenges. Key features include:

Transparent product tracking: Enables users to trace a product’s journey from producer to consumer, ensuring authenticity and sustainability.
OCR-based barcode scanner: Provides instant access to a product’s lifecycle data.
Sustainability insights: Offers green scores, certifications, and carbon footprint analysis through an intuitive Chrome extension.
Decentralized data storage: Utilizes IPFS for secure and scalable storage.
Financial tools: Simplifies transaction tracking and oversight.
Accessibility-first design: Incorporates a blind-mode UI for inclusivity.
Conversational chatbot: Enhances platform usability and interaction.

How we built it

Blockchain: Built on the Ethereum blockchain using Polygon’s zkEVM for scalability and cost-efficiency.
Decentralized storage: Leveraged IPFS to securely store product and transaction data.
UI/UX Design: Focused on creating an accessible and user-friendly interface with a blind-mode option.
AI Integration: Added an intelligent chatbot for seamless navigation and support.
Extensions: Developed a Chrome extension to analyze the environmental impact of products.
OCR Scanner: Integrated a barcode scanner to facilitate product tracking.
