CFTC Data
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission relies on data collected from registered entities, derivatives market participants and various market data providers to conduct its mission functions and engage in data-driven regulation. Data is a critical asset to the CFTC’s mission.
The CFTC publishes a variety of reports to provide the public with current and basic data regarding the derivatives market and derivatives market intermediaries. Reports regularly published by the CFTC include the Commitments of Traders, Weekly Swaps, Cotton on Call, Bank Participation, Cleared Margin, and Financial Data for FCMs reports. Data from these reports, as well as other non-recurring staff reports, are available for public download and use.
Artificial Intelligence
The CFTC is committed to responsibly accelerate the use of AI at the Commission. CFTC’s compliance plan and the CFTC’s AI Use Case Inventory are designed to ensure consistency with OMB Memorandum M25-21 “Accelerating Federal Use of AI Through Innovation, Governance and Public Trust”.
