About the challenge

The KU Intramural Programming Competition is open to all students who would like to compete and test out their coding skills in a scholastic setting. There will be two tracks for all participating teams, one will be using the Gemini AI, and the other will not.

Get started

To get started, find a friend to make a team, then register your team under a team name and make sure to mark your calendar for the 7th of February.

What to Build

There are two different tracks that participants can choose from; the Google Gemini track will be much more freeform, and participants are free to build any form of project.

The second category will be focused on creating a website to test participants' web development skills.

Judging Criteria

  • Innovation
    Does the project push the boundaries for what is trying to be accomplished? Does it use creative solutions to problems?
  • Functionality
    Does the project do what is intended and at what level? How large in scope is the project?
  • Presentation
    Is the final product appealing to look at? Is it user-friendly and intuitive?
  • Relevancy
    Does the project solve and apply the goals set forth by the track that participants have entered?
