Hypermode Knowledge Graph + AI Challenge - Official Competition Rules and Legal Terms 1. Competition Overview

 

The "Knowledge Graph + AI Challenge" (the "Competition") is sponsored by Hypermode, Inc. ("Sponsor") and hosted on the Devpost platform. By participating, entrants fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.

 

2. Eligibility 2.1 Participant Requirements

 

  • Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry
  • Participants must have a valid government-issued identification
  • Employees of Hypermode, its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and any other party associated with the development or administration of this Competition are not eligible
  • Participants must have the legal right to enter into a binding contract in their jurisdiction of residence

 

2.2 Geographical Restrictions

 

  • The Competition is void where prohibited by law
  • Participants are responsible for determining whether their participation complies with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • International participants must ensure their submission and potential prize acceptance comply with their local laws

 

3. Submission Guidelines 3.1 Submission Requirements

 

  • All submissions must be original work
  • Submissions must not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Participants warrant that their submission:
    • Is their own original work
    • Has not been previously published
    • Does not violate any third-party rights
    • Complies with all applicable laws in the participant's jurisdiction

 

3.2 Intellectual Property

 

  • Participants retain ownership of their original intellectual property
  • By submitting, participants grant Hypermode a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, showcase, and promote the submission for competition purposes
  • Participants represent and warrant that they have all necessary rights to grant such license

 

4. Prize Distribution 4.1 Prize Allocation

 

  • Prizes will be awarded based on judging criteria defined by Hypermode
  • Prize money will be disbursed to a single designated team member as specified during submission
  • Hypermode is not responsible for:
    • Distributing prize money among team members
    • Resolving any internal disputes regarding prize allocation
    • Any tax implications or reporting requirements for prize recipients

 

4.2 Prize Restrictions

 

  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash equivalent
  • No substitution of prizes is permitted
  • All taxes and additional expenses are the sole responsibility of the prize recipient

 

5. Liability and Indemnification 5.1 Limitation of Liability

 

  • Hypermode shall not be liable for:
    • Technical failures preventing participation
    • Lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or unintelligible submissions
    • Any damages, losses, or injuries resulting from participation
    • Any claim, damage, or loss arising from the Competition or any prize

 

5.2 Indemnification

 

  • Participants agree to indemnify and hold Hypermode harmless from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from their participation or submission

 

6. Conduct and Disqualification 6.1 Participant Conduct

 

  • Participants must not:
    • Submit offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content
    • Engage in harassment or discriminatory behavior
    • Attempt to manipulate the competition process

 

6.2 Disqualification

 

  • Hypermode reserves the right to disqualify any participant for:
    • Violation of these rules
    • Unethical or illegal behavior
    • Submissions that do not meet competition guidelines

 

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

 

  • These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California
  • Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Santa Clara County, California

 

8. Privacy and Data Usage

 

  • Participant information will be handled in accordance with Hypermode's Privacy Policy
  • Participants consent to reasonable use of their information for competition purposes

 

9. Modification and Cancellation

 

  • Hypermode reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time
  • Any changes will be communicated through the official competition platforms

 

10. Acceptance of Terms

 

By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these official rules.
