WHAT TO BUILD

Check our track descriptions see what interests you, then build a project that fits the track for the chance to win one of our prizes!

TRACKS

Harmonic Health

Participants will create a software artifact that relates to circulation with a health-related focus; this can be circulation within the body and its systems, within the healthcare system, or within the reciprocal interaction between patients and healthcare workers. The project can relate to mental, emotional, and/or physical health, but must incorporate the circulation theme.

The Cycle of Life

From birth and growing up to lifelong development and aging, there are many steps in the cycle of life. There exist possibilities to improve any step of the journey! Participants will create a software artifact that encompasses the life cycle of humans and/or any other form of life.

Preserving Black Culture

In honor of Black History Month, participants will create an application that aims to aid in culture preservation. This can take many forms such as software for the assistance of archiving culture, promoting the circulation of black culture, or software that aims to shine a light on lesser known aspects of black history. General culture preservation can be expressed as long as attention to black cultural preservation is articulated.

Out of the Loop

Does something out there feel a bit disconnected? Or do you feel there is something you or others should know about, but just can't put your finger on it? Wish there was some way to connect these ideas? You may be "Out of the Loop"! In this track, participants will create an innovative software artifact that relates to the theme of either missing connections, missed information, or connecting two disparate loops together somehow to make a new one.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

Submit your project with a 2 to 3 minute pitch video. Feel free to include any supplemental documents, files, websites, etc. However, remember that more is not always better!
