increase and decrease temperature

Hi,

What would you say "increase temperature " or "decrease temperature" either with air conditioner or heater or in the car to modify temperature?

Can I say "increase temperature " or "decrease temperature"?
or
should I say turn down the temperature or turn up the temperature?

    These options are normal for me: Turn the heat on/off. Turn the heat up/down. Turn the air conditioner on/off. Turn the air conditioner up/down.
