OFFICIAL RULES - Fire & Personal AI Hackathon
Eligibility
1. Participant Requirements
- Open to individuals 18 years or older
- Open to teams of up to 5 members
- Must have a valid Devpost account & be registered on lu.ma
- Must join the Kwaai Slack
- Must be able to present work virtually 3/7 if selected as finalist
2. Project Requirements
- Projects must be original work
- Code must be newly written during the hackathon period
- Pre-existing resources limited to:
- Open source libraries
- Public APIs
- Standard development frameworks
- Personal AI or mimik platform components as provided
Competition Period
1. Timeline
- Registration Opens: 2/21 at 6pm
- Winners Announced: 3/7
2. Submission Deadlines
- All submissions must be received by 4pm pst on 3/5
- Late submissions will not be considered
- All project materials must be complete at time of submission
- Must submit 3 min or less video to #hackathon-project-showcase channel on Slack by submission deadline and all necessary uploads here on Devpost
Intellectual Property
1. Ownership
- Participants retain ownership of their projects
- Grant sponsors non-exclusive license to showcase projects
- Must have rights to all code and assets uses
2. Open Source
- Participants encouraged to open source their projects
- Must comply with all third-party licenses
- Must include appropriate attribution
Judging & Evaluation
1. Selection Process
- Initial screening by technical review committee
- Finalist selection by panel of judges
- Live demonstrations for finalists
- Final winner selection based on judging criteria
2. Disqualification
- Incomplete submissions
- Violations of rules or code of conduct
- Plagiarism or misuse of third-party IP
- Inappropriate or harmful content
