Talk:Damage Avoidance
I thought SV only worked on physical attacks? --cmal 00:28, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Shadow Veil grants you an additive increase to your "evasion". Evasion increases magical dodging. Ergo, Shadow Veil increases magic dodging. At least that is my reasoning. I'm not exactly sure how Shadow Veil applies its evasion. It hypothetically could check if the attack is physical or not THEN add to your evasion. Someone PM Tenboro about that.--Boggyb 18:36, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
According to its description, SV only increases evasion against physical attacks. Of course, the description could be outdated. --cmal 00:52, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
My observations show the 'evade' stat applies to magic as well. When being attacked by Zombie Cow, Mind Rapier or Alphatic Chaunak, they all cast their spell. I have seen evade, blocked, resisted and missed. I have not seen a parry after a spell being cast. Also, according to Tenboro via PM, SV is added to your current evasion stat, so if you have a 20% evasion and SV gives you 10%, your total is 30%. --Sonic 09:36, 17 Jan 2010
- So it IS just an outdated description. --cmal 23:00, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Apparently not, Boggyb talked to Tenboro, apparently despite that evade is used by both physical and magical, SV itself applies only to physical. --Sonic 20:31, 20 Janurary 2010 (UTC)
