Wellness centre finder built on elastic search

Inspiration

In these unprecedented times where India is fighting with Covid19, Black fungus, and other diseases, we all have to take care of ourselves. There are a lot of wellness centres in India but, they are not known much. So, I have compiled the list of every wellness centres and put it into an elastic search.

What it does

The web app takes data from the government of India's open dataset and then makes it easily accessible through elastic search. The search can be filtered based on the number of doctors and city names.

How we built it

This app is built using elastic search and reactjs. Also, I have used this "https://data.gov.in/resources/city-wise-list-wellness-centres" dataset for searching the centres.

Challenges we ran into

The dataset given on the government site was not compatible with the elastic search. So, I have to export it in an excel sheet then made some changes, and then converted it to JSON format. I am proud of completing the web app on time and learning everything from scratch.

What we learned

I learned the use of elastic search and its benefits.

What's next for Wellness Centres

I found that some of the data is missing in the government dataset. So, I will use some other source to add more data to the elastic search.
