Hi, I'm Allen Firstenberg
I'd like to show you Vodo AI, a prototype that I made to help you have conversations with your spreadsheets. My goal was twofold:
Better understand both prompts and Voiceflow, both of which I haven't used for development before, and to learn the latest changes to Apps Script, Google's scripting environment for Google Workspace. Experiment with prompts that can assist with working with dynamic data such as spreadsheets.
Spreadsheets are one of the top programming languages today, used by many people who don't even think they're programming! But what if we could make that interaction even easier and more natural.
Vodo Drive already lets you talk with your spreadsheets, letting you add and get simple information using intents.
But the interaction is stilted, and somewhat limited.
Vodo AI is my first attempt to use prompts and LLMs to answer questions from spreadsheets that it has not specifically been trained on, by turning them into formulas that are, themselves, added to the spreadsheet for later review. The answer from the spreadsheet is then combined with the question, and fed to another prompt that creates a natural sounding answer.
I hope this gives you a taste of what I've worked on and how it will work.
My thanks to the entire Voiceflow team, and all the hackathon organizers. I've learned a lot, and am excited to learn more and share what I've learned.
You can find out more about Vodo Drive at vodo-drive.com, and I'll have this prototype up at prisoner.com/vodo-ai. Once judging is over, I may even add a few enhancements.
