Inspiration
we are from South Africa most people don't have cash to buy bread in tuck-shops or support entrepreneur's without cash now we are trying to make the small shops and entrepreneurs' not lose money in investing in speed points for making payments and mostly in south Africa when we have load shedding(power out) most speed points loose signal and requires you to use cash, and that's a bit impossible, we are giving small businesses a chance to use their existing payment gateway connected to our system to make an application that can be used like a speed point to make payments using the already existing payment gateway to pass the transaction, for security reasons when you make an online payment in South Africa the bank sends you an OTP(One Time Pin) that you an tell the store owner to enter so the transaction can e processed without any contact between the customer and the phone used to pay with which will help in limiting the contraction of COVID-19 and also make sure the small businesses make money and stop people from going to banks to withdrew money to pay for thing in that tuck-shops
What it does
the user can be able to create a virtual bank that has a qr code that will make it easy to make the payment just by scanning the qr code from the customer to make payment , twistpay is twisting how payments and payments gateways are used the more the technology improves the more we should use it to uplift small businesses , what we are selling is a software that turns any payment gateway into a speed point without all the Hussle and trouble when there is no electricity, we are just connecting our frontend to the payment gateways frontend to turn any smartphone into a payment machine without connecting any external electronics, even if the user brings a credit card we will be able to extract the details needed to make an online payment sing the phone camera, like the card holder name , card umber ,card expiry date and the CVV and pushes them in the payment gateway to make the transaction and the transaction fees are low
How we built it
we used python libraries to be able to extract the payment details in the bank card .
Challenges we ran into
in hosting the solution online and doing encryption on the bank card details to protect the user.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
that we are able to upload a card and open cv can extract the details from it and convert it into a qr code
