Inspiration
In the past, we had all thought of getting community service hours by tutoring kids. However, none of us had ever gotten around to actually doing that. We thought that a tool to manage it would be helpful.
What it does
Tutoro lets tutors list themselves on the site, and lets students search for tutors by subject.
How we built it
We used Python, along with Flask, a python library for creating websites.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble getting all of the forms to work and information to save.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the backend. Even though it's not very glamorous, it works, and it was tough to get it that way.
What we learned
All of us got better at HTML/CSS/JS, Python, and also at project management.
What's next for Tutoro
In the future, we could expand on it, finish all of the pages that we wanted to, and even buy a domain to host it on a server.
