Inspiration

We all carpool to school and we know the financial benefits and environmental benefits this provides. We wanted to make the definitive app for finding someone to carpool with to save money, the earth, and time.

What it does

This application exists on colab(due to its technical complexity) and it runs through data of different people willing to carpool and uses your information in order to predict and match you with the best person to carpool you with.

How we built it

Python using spicy.fft, numpy, and Geopy

Challenges we ran into

We ran into the challenge of putting this onto a server since we always ran out of credits for a database so we decided to host this on the cloud.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of everything we learned, form this hackathon.

What we learned

We learned a lot of complex mathematical principles that help this become the definitive app for carpool.

What's next for Thrift Wheel

Have a good website and maybe a ios app.
