Inspiration

Global supply chains are deeply fragmented and lack transparency. We were inspired by the urgent need for tools that ensure ethical sourcing, reduce ESG violations, and build trust across industries.

What it does

SupplySense maps multi-tier supplier networks, detects ESG risks like forced labor or deforestation using AI and real-time data, forecasts future threats, and recommends ethical alternatives—all in one platform.

How we built it

We used AI/ML models powered by the Sonar API for real-time risk mining, built knowledge graphs with Neo4j, and created visual dashboards using React and D3.js. Data came from sources like OpenSanctions and NGO reports.

Challenges we ran into

Handling fragmented, inconsistent supplier data and ensuring accurate risk scoring across regions was tough. Balancing transparency with privacy and avoiding algorithmic bias were also key challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We built a working prototype that visualizes deep-tier risks, sends real-time alerts, and offers compliance-ready reporting—all with explainable AI and ethical data use.

What we learned

We learned the complexity of global supply chains, the gaps in current ESG tools, and how AI can make ethical sourcing more proactive and scalable.

What's next for SupplySense

We plan to enhance predictive capabilities, onboard pilot partners from manufacturing and retail, and develop APIs for seamless ERP integration.
