Inspiration
We were inspired by how helpful it is to study with friends and how study groups can lead to strong friendships and connections
What it does
It allows students to select a class they are taking and find study groups of students taking the same class nearby. If no such groups exist, a student can create his or her own study group, which others can then join.
How I built it
We primarily used Android Studio.
Challenges I ran into
We had some difficulty getting the Android Studio phone simulation to work as well as downloading software.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are especially proud both of the development of our idea as the hackathon progressed as well as our planning.
What I learned
We better learned how to use Android Studio to build mobile apps as well as how to use databases.
What's next for StudIt
We would like to continue building upon our app, including features like social media "friends" or a group messaging system to keep the study group updated in case of changes in plan.
