Inspiration

Well we wanted to combine two challenges together and we wanted to make something that had not been heard of before which was spaced_Out was born.

What it does

Allows you to create a to do list and keep track of how much time you have left and reminds you You can see how many tasks you completed based on how your solar system grows and you can learn fun facts about the planets Allows you to track your emotions every day so you can see how mood changes each day. Every time you add a emotion then it adds a star to your galaxy of emotions

How we built it

React, Tailwindcss, DaisyUI, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose, Node.js

Challenges we ran into

The animations with the planets and stars were difficult to create. Routing to the backend Task and User routes took lots of time. Using React Redux to create the global task state.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The animations but the whole project in general. Using Redux and axios to make backend calls, connecting the server side to make a full stack web app.

What we learned

We learned animations were no joke and that we work well as a team. We also learned that preparation is important and using figma to create designs.

What's next for Spaced_Out

Adding new features like rockets instead of planets to give more options as well as adding a calendar. Wanted to use Twilio to allow the user to create tasks on the go as well as get alerts through their phone.
