Inspiration

Wanted to use CloudFare workersAI and the education tracks

What it does

It extracts key concepts and summarizes lessons from videos, then delivers key points through spaced repetition text messages. Also, generates Quizzes based on learned material to solidify knowledge retention.

How was it built

The user first login, they will be allowed to use password and email or use their google account. Then, we will get a link video from users in the homepage to get started, then allow them to train an AI, on the back, the AI is reviewing if the video is educational or not and get key points from it that could be lessons. Once it found interesting educational content, it will generate a more explicit, more simple explanation about the lesson and generate a quiz related to it as well. The facts will be sent to the users as text messages once they save their phone numbers, the notification will be using the spaced repetition system to make the education part efficient, and the quiz will be displayed in the quiz section so that they can take it later to test their knowledge.

Challenges ran into

Mostly dealing with the Cloudflare workers AI response was a bit harsh, it always return a litle bit more than asked sometimes, maybe I need to master AI prompting. Then, the video transcript part as well almost wasted my time, and of course designing is always a nightmare when we don’t have a frontend developer, but I was trying. Moreover, finding an API that sends messages.
