The problem: -Energy Consumption: Current Window Blinds are outdated, leading to wasted energy -Inconvenience: Manual adjustments of window blinds are tedious and often inconsistent -Current Solutions lack modularity The Solution: -There is a need for a modular automated window blinds system to improve: -Energy Consumption -Convenience -Privacy -Our System can be integrated into current window blinds, with both a manual and automated mode Components: ESP32, Servo motor, photoresistor, breadboards, wires, computer for programming and CAD, and 3d printer for housing Programming: -Our Code has two modes, smart mode and manual mode -Manual Mode: -ESP32 connects to WiFi network (hotspot) and starts a web server that listens to HTTP requests -Smart Mode: -maps the photoresistor analog value to servo position (0 to 180 degrees) -If calculated target position differs from current position by more than buffer zone, the servo moves in small steps towards target to adjust blinds Link to demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jK3Tcqs8msQ
