We are a team of passionate developers and designers who have always been fascinated by the world of travel and technology. We believe that every journey should be made with a purpose and that's why we created Safar Saathi-Your Personal AI Trip Planner. Our mission is to make planning your next trip as easy as possible. We want to help you explore new places, learn about different cultures, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

What it does

Safar Saathi addresses the common challenges faced by travelers when planning a trip. In a world where travel is a blend of passion and necessity, our AI-powered platform revolutionizes the way people explore and experience new destinations. Traditional trip planning can be overwhelming and time-consuming, especially when faced with situations like 'Ever planned to visit Goa with your friends? but don't know the local attractions?' or 'How to plan a 4-day trip for 3 people?' Safar Saathi simplifies this tedious process into a few clicks, offering quick, efficient, and tailored travel planning. Leave the hassle to us and enjoy the ultimate travel experience.

How we built it

Safar Saathi is an impartial AI-based solution, designed to address the scams and swindles prevalent in India's tourism industry. We are using an Augmented and Modified AI model that provides unbiased travel plans to customers and our vast dataset gives the users plethora of options to choose from. Users can customize their holiday plans, freeing them from reliance on travel and tourism companies and their dubious, overpriced packages. To enhance security of our platform we provide 2 Factor Authentication, utilizing Backend as a Service (BaaS). To prevent data breaches and server attacks, we employ Serverless Backends, ensuring both scalability and security for our website.

Challenges we ran into

While building this project we faced several challenges, our team was struggling at web designing and we had to figure out how to integrate google maps into our Webpage. However we kept a positive mindset, learnt what we didn't understand, pulling each other up if they feel down. Slowly but steadily we were able to navigate through the obstacles, learn new technologies, and transform our idea into a website

What we learned

Safar Saathi has a diversified techstack. While building this project we learned new technologies like Vite and Tailwind CSS to allow the web app to be responsive. We also dived deeper into technologies we already know and expanded on them, such as React and Amazon Web Services. While building this application, we paid close attention to User Experience and learnt the basics of Material UI.

What's next for Safar Saathi

We plan to expand our services to other countries in the future while maintaining our emphasis on local culture and diversity. We also aim to make a more personalized user experience based on the user's interests.
