Inspiration

With the trending changes from working in the office all the time to hybrid work, there is an ongoing demand for companies to care more about their employees' well being. Companies care and are worried about employees who work long hours at home and do not have time to relax or think about themselves.

These problems all point to the need for developing a wellness app that helps employees check and improve their well-beings while making remote support and health care accessible. Having mobile health assistance through smartphones is an effective way to check mood and wellness of the employees. The app provides a platform for communication and improving employees' health.

Because of the above requirements, we designed our app, Rest Azzure for employees to check and improve their wellness. The solutions our team came up with were to build a responsive mobile app that gamifies incentives focused on personal time, A 2 way interactive conversation with an AI chat bot in Microsoft teams, and a dashboard to organize and manage work flow of every day professionals.

Challenges we ran into

  • Azure documentation lacking some cookbook ideas
  • Azure & Teams free account were not completely setup for the hackathon MSAL and Graph API's post format was a bit difficult to understand once we overcame the MSAL, Graph API setup and Azure account
  • I spent about 2 weeks trying to learn and use MS Azure, only to find out that we didn't have access/permission to tools/services. They also didn't tell us that in order to use MS Teams as a group, that we needed to sign up and use an Azure account. Personal accounts like gmail can be used in MS Teams but has very limited capabilities.
