Inspiration: RESOLVED was inspired by a simple classroom reality: many students have doubts, but hesitate to ask them due to fear of judgment or appearing “weak.” This hesitation creates silent learning gaps that grow over time. We wanted to build a system where asking a doubt feels safe, private, and pressure-free.

What We Learned: Through this project, we learned that:

  • Anonymity must be supported by thoughtful system design.
  • AI works best in education when it supports understanding, not replaces teachers.
  • Silence is also a learning signal, not always a sign of clarity.
  • Teachers benefit more from patterns and insights than from raw data.
  • Restraint in feature design is essential for meaningful learning tools.

How We Built It: RESOLVED is a web-based platform with separate student and teacher experiences. Students can ask doubts anonymously and receive immediate AI explanations. They can continue the conversation privately with AI and are occasionally asked optional reflective questions to check understanding. A global anonymous doubt feed shows common questions, helping students feel less isolated.

Teachers see doubts anonymously by default. Similar questions are grouped together, allowing teachers to understand common confusions and how students phrase them. Aggregated insights highlight resolution confidence, engagement levels, and silence patterns. An optional identity reveal mode exists for academic follow-up and is visible only to teachers.

AI is used selectively for semantic understanding and learning verification, while silence detection relies on rule-based analysis of aggregate data to maintain explainability and privacy.

Outcome: RESOLVED functions as a learning signal system rather than just a Q&A tool. It encourages students to ask freely, helps teachers understand real classroom confusion, and treats silence as meaningful feedback, using AI responsibly and intentionally.
