Inspiration

Price gouging sucks. We want to democratize access to pricing information and make sure everyone can sell better without affecting people's livelihoods.

What it does

Allows users to create target demographics and find insights about them, as well as spending information and budgets in order to calculate how to accurately price products/services into their buying ability.

How we built it

We used NextJS, Shadcn-ui, React, TailwindCSS, GPT-4o, and Framer Motion.

Challenges we ran into

Data access and structuring is hard, but inferring insights about such a variety of different markets is even harder. Additionally, we had to make sure we did this without intruding on people's privacy (and we succeeded, thankfully!) and without enabling corporate price gouging (i.e. enabling access to the tool for everyone).

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Visualizations! They make data much more accessible for everyone. Additionally, our simulation tools are useful for seeing how changes in environment affect the market, and were surprisingly accurate.
