Inspiration
The theme about technology that helps us use it less was the inspiration.
What it does
The app should allow you to choose apps you want to lock, set a locked time period, disable access to the app with a pop up that shows the user how long they've already spent on the app as well as an analog alternative like writing, painting, reading, etc.
How we built it
We used android studio and Java to create the app.
Challenges we ran into
From the tutorials we followed, we could not get the app to actually work. A lot of the info in tutorials was depreciated or no longer supported in the way we implemented (i.e. accessing installed user apps to show on a list view).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We stuck with the project until the very end, even though we don't have a workable product.
What we learned
We learned that Android studio is the best IDE.... In seriousness, we learned that [idk, mady if you have any input lol]
What's next for OPTIMEIZE
Get the app functioning like intended.
