OpenMed is a database where medical professionals and artists are able to work together to create accurate diagrams in hopes to relieve the medical field of the lack of reference diagrams. The lack of racial diversity in medical textbooks and online references meant inequity in healthcare, affecting the lives of millions of people. Hoping to help resolve this issue and to create a database where artists can upload content, we create OpenMed. OpenMed enables medical professionals and artists to work together to create accurate and modern diagrams/content that can be uploaded on a site where all can see. In order for it to be accurate, OpenMed required you upload information about the diagram/image and your sources.
