Inspiration

How do we find an opportunity, how do we benefit from opportunity and most importantly how do we access opportunity? All these questions were the inspiration to start the process of design and creation for the frameworks and systems present inside the “MyBILAcess” network. Our goal was simple: create a platform where we can assist community leaders, nonprofits and local government agencies, to learn, access and receive the funds and information present inside the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law “BIL”.

What it does

MyBILAccess is a platform that integrates various technologies to make more accessible and streamline the opportunities granted by the BIL. The platform has three main features: Uses official government datasets to present the live funds in a simple and interactive way. Uses a NFT validation protocol to verify applications while also providing more transparency to the public as the applications are accessible on the blockchain. Implements a DAO for various purposes: voting how the app is going to be handled by the approved users, Decentralized Insurance Pool, and a Direct Deposit of the approved funds.

How we built it

We built a three layer infrastructure system, Business and Logistic management in real world application, using full stack development tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Cpp, and third party organization resources AirTable, Replit. HomePage: HTML, CSS, JavaScript Application Portal: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flask, RestApi NFT-RECEIPT: Python and (HardHat, JavaScript, Solidity) Payment & Performance Bond System: C++ DAO: Xdai framework

Challenges we ran into

integrate the portal API to pass the information to the smart contract, and generate the the validation code.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The “MyBILAcess” Development team is proud to present the, amazing achievements and complex systems made throughout the development of the “MyBILAcess”

Utilizing Public Records data sets, to display available fund and grant opportunities inside our platform.

NFT Validation ticket protocol, for users applying for direct grant and federal funding opportunities inside our application port

DAO Validation process, so users inside the “MyBILAcess” platform can access the resources inside the DAO, by going through a complex and secure validation process, to ensure transparency and security for the users inside the DAO.

MyBILAcess DAO, a fully functional decentralized autonomous organization where users of “MyBILAcess, can vote, request pre-approval for grant opportunities, accept early grant deposits, and interact with the “MyBILAcess” ecosystem.

Payment & Performance Bond System and Smart Contract, it is a bond that helps make sure when someone hires a contractor to carry out a construction project, the requirements for the project are fulfilled

What we learned

In the process of creating MyBILAcess, we learned to bring an idea in mind to a product that was able to meet the proposed objectives and more. We also learned to implement different technologies such as; Utilizing Public Records data sets to display available funds and grant opportunities inside our platform, NFT Validation ticket protocol for users applying for direct grant and federal funding opportunities inside our application port, The implementation of smart contracts and a combination of different programming languages to connect, display and manage different information, and final the implementation of a new blockchain to the environment and building process of this project. We worked well under pressure and each member of the team was dedicated to their task. We strongly believe that this is just the beginning for our team. This experience pushed us to keep striving for growth and innovation with technology, business, and culture.

What's next for MyBILAccess

Our next step is to make this project a reality. We are determined to push through the growing pains of any start-up and have the necessary tools and work-ethic to scale this and achieve a public and private partnership with the federal government and incoming federal projects.
