Inspiration
Home assistants such as Google Home, Alexa, Cortona etc. and Otaku culture, blending the two to create a home assistant bearing the resemblances of one of the most prominent figures in Otaku culture, Vocaloid sensation Hatsune Miku.
What it does
Surf the web for information and provide weather (using the WolframAlpha API) and playing music from YouTube. It also dances.
How I built it
Cardboard, Glue, Microservos, Tape, Wires, Blood, Sweat and Tears.
Challenges I ran into
Building the robot itself, taking 9 hours to construct merely the left arm, and implementing the numerous APIs, some of which simply refused to work.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Interfacing between three different programming languages.
What I learned
What may seem easy on paper is way too hard in practice.
What's next for mikuOS
