Inspiration
The subtle impact of meteorite on the earth makes it difficult for humans to catch on to it's effects.
What it does
It showcases the impact over time on vegetation, rainfall, temperature, and etc. after a meteorite falls onto Earth from 2000 to present. We got our data from NASA.
How I built it
We used C and Python for the backend development. HTML and CSS was used for the website layout. A java applet was used to display the progression of time.
Challenges I ran into
The internet was on and off and it was difficult for us to access the map database. The map database didn't include specific identifiers.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Getting the C program to work within the time limit given in this hackathon.
What I learned
I learned about memory allocation for C.
