Inspiration

We had heard about a chatbot platform kore.ai at last year, our seniors create chatbot in kore.ai platform and they also demonstrated to us which inspire us to build a chatbot in our own of interest .we were also very interested about natural language processing so, we have participated in kore.ai botathon

What it does

Mesbot ,we created this chatbot to tackle the medical emergency situation faced by our society which is constantly increasing in our country so, basic idea of our chatbot is user can book an appointment for their health consent ,if user is facing any emergency situation they can book an ambulance from our MESBOTwhich is super easy task and our chatbot also facilitates disease symptoms checker for example user can share their symptoms to our chatbot and our **MESBOT * will predict you’re disease this how our chatbot works so, in simple words our chatbot predicts disease and you can book an appointment and it is also user friendly

How we built it

We build our chatbot in kore.ai botbulider . our mesbot provide the facilities to user that they an book an ambulance, place an appointment and then the user can predict their symptoms. First our chatbot check whether the user are in an emergency or not, if they were in an emergency situation for quick action, chatbot ask whether the user needs an ambulance or not .If the user needs an ambulance then according to their location the hospital details are fetch from the API.

Application program interface provides a communication interface between two software. IN our chatbot we use API as our database, we collect data based on our requirements to build the chatbot and these collected data are stored as an* API*. By using mockapi we create **API **based on our data and requirement.

If the user are not in an emergency then the user are tend to select their alternative path which includes placing an appointment and prediction of user disease.

When the user are tend to place an appointment, first chatbot collect the user information using digital form and then chatbot suggest to place an appointment according to their user location and based on specialist with respective to the user response the chatbot provides the corresponding hospital details, these data are fetched from API which had been created using mockapi.

When the user are interested to predict their disease, first the chatbot collects the symptoms from the user on basis of the user symptoms the chatbot predicts the disease. And then the chatbot also suggest the user that they can also consult a doctor, if the users are interested to consult the doctor then they can place an appointment based on the user specification.

This is the workflow in our Mesbot which handle all the medical emergency situation as the users face in their day to day life.

Challenges we ran into

At start of our project we were very worried about our database, Then we had idea of creating an* API* . The creation of API where very challenging at first we started to build our API using flask but it was not successful. then we decided to build our API using mockapi platform.

The next challenging task was fetching data from our API and displaying all our data using custom template. At last we finally faced all our challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We feel that it was an great opportunity to participate in Kore.ai . we are proud that , we had completed our project successfully.

What we learned

In this Kore.ai botathon, we learned how to built an bot, to bulid an API according to our requirements and then JavaScript coding in the creation custom template and to fetch data from API.

What's next for Mesbot

We are interested to develop back-end of our Mesbot using Node.js and then we are going implement symptoms checker using machine learning which will help our chatbot to provide an enormous amount of information to the users.
