Inspiration

I wanted to create a fun way for people to engage with meme culture and prediction gaming. Memes are everywhere, and I thought it would be exciting to build a platform where users can predict which meme will go viral next and earn rewards for their predictions.

What it does

MemeCoin Roulette lets users bet on which meme they think will become viral next. The app tracks meme trends in real-time and updates constantly. Users place bets and compete on leaderboards based on how accurate their predictions are.

How we built it

The project was built using React.js for the frontend and Tailwind CSS for design. I used TypeScript for better code management, and deployed the app with Vercel for fast performance.

I also integrated PearAI, an AI code editor that helped improve the coding process. This was instrumental in streamlining the development, ensuring faster and more efficient coding. You can check out PearAI here.

Challenges we ran into

One challenge was making sure the meme data was updated in real-time. Another was building an easy-to-use interface while displaying lots of information.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I’m proud that the platform works smoothly, and users can now make meme predictions and see their results instantly. It’s great to see people enjoying the app.

What we learned

I learned how to handle real-time data and improve my skills with React and TypeScript. I also got a deeper understanding of meme trends and how quickly things can go viral online. Additionally, using PearAI for the coding process enhanced my ability to develop efficiently.

What's next for MemeCoin Roulette

Next, I want to add AI-based predictions and build a stronger community around the platform, possibly with forums or chat features where users can share their meme predictions.
