Inspiration
Puerto rico paradise on earth, the place where we live and the place where we were born, this island means alot to me and to everyone on the dev team. With rising cost of living and the mismanagement of our countries economic system, we have suffered a lot, we have seen a lot of people leave this paradise because of all the problems that we are facing, but in all this chaos there is hope the industry of web 3.0 is something amazing, the projects created inside this industry, has the possibility to change lives of millions of people. That's why we focus on creating a platform that can educate people and show them the beauty and possibilities inside the web 3.0 industry. With this we hope to inspire people and show them the benefits of web 3.0 and how they can grow in this field and even make capital on the side so that they have more ways of income and can have less problems on their mind. We had an idea and we turned it into a vision in action. This project means a lot to all of us, because it can create a way to grow and connect with our community and even expand the technologies built upon the web 3.0 system. Bringing new growth into our nation and the hearts and minds of our communities .
What it does
Local_Node is a web 3.0 platform, with its eyes on. The mass adoption and education of the web 3.0 Industry inside Puerto Rico and our local communities. Being the bridge between the web 3.0 and our daily lives. So people may be able to learn, create and expand their web 3.0 ambitions by the use of educational, social and financial resources provided by our platform, with the added bonus of a governance DAO to administrate a E.W.3.P fund resources to smaller projects in the local couminite and help build a network of web 3.0 projects inside our local communities to create sutantibily regional devemelpet in our areas.
How we built it
The Local Node platform is built using reactive.js, node.js, hardhat for the backend of the platform and the coding aspect of the project in basic terminology it is the organ system of the platform. After that we go to the user interface aspect of the project that is built upon, webflow, figma, canva. This aspect of the project has the focus inside the platform to make it user friendly and easy to understand and use in basic terminology. It's the skin of the project; it must look clean and fluint to be massively adopted. After discussing the backend and the user interface of the platform we can proceed to skelton of the project, that is build upon a Decentralized autonomous organization for governance voting on specific decisions inside the platform, with this notion we also have a committee of administration personal and moderators to help minimize and allocate potential decisions in the administrative aspect of the platform, but this action is performed behind closed doors. This is in basic terminology the skeleton of the project. Now we have a human body

Challenges we ran into
The time was the biggest challenge and bring the idea to a real product that can be used.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Making a detailed and realistically approachable Roadmap. Creating and organizing a platform that contains useful tools for the community of Puerto Rico. Creation of various documents that help organize and expand the project long-term. Creation and testing of Smart Contracts for transaction protocol, and Staking Protocol using Metamask and the Rinkeby Blockchain Testnet Creation of Documentation on how the projects earns capital Obtaining support and guidance from 11 local companies in Puerto Rico, that liked our project.
What we learned
In the process of creating LOCAL-NODE, we learned to bring an idea in mind to a product that was able to meet the proposed objectives and more. We also learned to implement different technologies such as; React.js, Hardhat.js , Solidity, Javascript, Alchemy, Tailwind.css, Figma, Webflow.
What's next for Local Node
It is simple to optimize and innovate the impact and expansion of the web.3 industry inside local regional areas by the use of educational and social systems to encourage more people to have confidence in this upcoming technology. Using multiple marketing strategies and having an array of inhouse resources and products for our user to user, we want to display confidence and show the reality and positive economic and social impact the web.3 industry can have inside our local communities.
