Inspiration
The idea for LearnLoop – Student Skill Exchange Network came from observing that many students have skills but lack opportunities to share and learn from peers. We wanted to build a platform where students can exchange knowledge, collaborate, and grow together.
What it does
LearnLoop is a student-to-student skill exchange platform where users can:
- List the skills they can teach
- Request skills they want to learn
- Connect with peers for knowledge sharing
- Build a learning community without formal barriers
How we built it
We designed the system architecture, created the user interface, and developed backend functionality for user profiles, skill listings, and matching. The project focuses on usability and community-driven learning.
Challenges we ran into
- Designing a simple but effective matching system
- Managing user data and authentication
- Ensuring a user-friendly interface for beginners
- Time constraints during the hackathon
What we learned
- Full-stack application design
- Community-based platform development
- Team collaboration and project management
- Problem-solving under time pressure
What's next for LearnLoop
- Add chat and video call features
- Implement AI-based skill matching
- Add leaderboard and reputation system
- Mobile app version for Android and iOS
