Inspiration
When teaching methods align with your unique learning style, you'll notice that your understanding of any material will significantly increase. This not only results in enhanced performance but also boosts motivation, improves engagement and better your memorization. Especially in an academic environment, everyone has their own method of learning as students. However, researching and understanding your learning style can enhance the effectiveness of the learning process. Motivated by this insight, we decided to develop a platform using artificial intelligence.
What it does
Our AI-integrated system helps users discover their learning types and helps suggest best practices for said learning types. After giving the program a description of your experiences learning, our program sorts and analyzes responses from ChatGPT, and gives you results personalized and specific to your experience!
Using an HTML and CSS frontend, and a Python-driven backend, our program is able to parse and analyze your data and create the most personal learning guide for your experiences. This is done using machine learning, AI, and ChatGPT. No data is permanently stored, and privacy is valued greatly. Currently, we are only able to have our program run locally and render into a text file.
In the app, you can further understand and adapt to your learning style by chatting with Panda Bot (where our website demonstrates this idea), seeing your learning analytics, and even having the opportunity to research other styles. Try discovering effective strategies for leveraging your learning style by also playing a mini-game to unlock tips and tricks from spending a few hours researching on the app to progress to higher levels.
How we built it
The back-end is written in Python using OpenAI API. Front-end made with HTML and CSS, deployed to the web with Google's Firebase hosting. The app prototype was built in Figma.
What's next for Learn Panda
We hope to implement a database with Firestore to connect the back-end to the front-end and have the form work.
