Inspiration

Siri sucks. we did our best to make it better.

How we built it

Speech Processing – Integrated ElevenLabs for natural speech input and Google Gemini for contextual text analysis and response generation.

Reasoning Engine – Used ASI:One as Iris’s “brain” to interpret intent, plan next steps, and make autonomous decisions.

Agent Framework – Deployed Fetch.ai uAgents on Agentverse to handle tasks such as sending Gmail messages, checking calendars, and managing schedules.

Communication Layer – Enabled Chat Protocol so Iris’s agents can message each other and external systems securely.

App Integrations – Built lightweight connectors for third-party services (Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, and discord ).

What it does:

Iris turns natural speech into real-world actions. You just speak to Iris like a human, and it handles the rest:

What took Chatgpt months to integrate 3rd party services into its LLM, we have done in 24 Hours.

Iris is capable of commands like:

“Email my professor that I’ll be five minutes late.”

“Summarize unread emails from today.”

"Pick me a song form my liked playlist"

Behind the scenes, Iris translates your voice into structured intent, reasons through ASI:One, and triggers Fetch.ai uAgents to autonomously execute multi-step workflows such as sending messages, creating events, or fetching updates.

Challenges we ran into

  • Gemini API not integrating smoothly with eleven labs

  • Registering uAgents and linking them with 3rd party providers

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We deployed over four uAgents and built an end-to-end system leveraging Fetch.ai’s ecosystem, including ASI:One models, uAgents, and control languages for autonomous coordination.

What we learned

How to architect and deploy autonomous agents using Fetch.ai’s uAgents framework. The importance of agent interoperability through the Chat Protocol. How reasoning models like ASI:One complement LLMs for multi-step planning. Learned how to link third-party services with AI agents (e.g., Gmail, Calendar, Slack).

What's next for Iris

Expand integrations (such as: Google calender, Notion, Trello) for broader productivity automation. Improve long-term memory and personalization for recurring tasks. Add a mobile-friendly interface so Iris can follow you everywhere.
