inspiration

after reviewing over 400+ resumes, i realized how much i truly hate resumes. they are often full of buzzwords, and i've spent more time learning how to write resumes than actual coding.. companies are too comfortable with their current ATS.

what it do

in 10 minutes, we can get a student from ZERO resume to a fully finished resume that is strong enough to get interviews with awesome companies.

how we locked in

v0, figma, and me went crazy.

with this team of 3, i spent around 16 hours mapping out the workflow, starting from how to get students to ideate experiences, even if they're not traditional internships to helping them understand how to be intentional. 40 minutes before the deadline i started coding it.

challenges

a massive part was the workflow. you cannot just ask gpt "ok make this student 3 bullet points for retail experience" it's awful and gives too much fluff. i designed the workflow so that the student doesn't have to spend more than 15 minutes max working on their resume, while giving gpt exclusively the info it needs to operate correctly.

accomplishments that we're proud of

super happy that people liked the design and the message. i spent a good chunk of time in figma and scrapped 3+ prototypes.

what we learned

learn when to MOVE on, i spent way too much time on side content rather than the meat of the problem. 'header' and 'education' section. i probably spent a good 4 hours in that.
