Inspiration
As someone passionate about democratizing creativity, I wanted to bridge the gap between raw ideas and polished books. Seeing so many great concepts get lost in notebooks inspired me to build IDEOWRITE AI—a tool that empowers anyone to turn their ideas into structured, customizable books using the power of AI.
What it does
IDEOWRITE AI takes a simple idea and transforms it into a complete book, fully tailored to the user’s preferences:
- Users type their idea, select the language, set the number of chapters, and choose the book type (educative, fiction, or non-fiction).
- The AI generates a detailed chapter outline, which can be edited or expanded by the user.
- The AI then writes each chapter, one by one, incorporating any user modifications.
- Finally, users can download the entire book as a PDF.
How I built it
The most remarkable part: the entire project runs on just one single Bolt prompt. This meant I had to put in extra effort to design a prompt that could handle every stage—from idea intake and outlining, to chapter writing, customization, and PDF export. It took a lot of experimentation and iteration to “crack” the right prompt structure, ensuring it could flexibly adapt to user edits and different book genres, all while maintaining coherence and flow.
Challenges I ran into
- Crafting a single prompt that could manage a multi-stage, user-driven process was a real challenge. I had to ensure it could remember user changes, adapt to different genres, and keep the experience smooth.
- Balancing automation with user control: letting users modify outlines and chapters without breaking the AI’s logic.
- Ensuring the final PDF looked polished, no matter how much the user customized their book.
Accomplishments I'm proud of
- Building a complete, end-to-end book creation tool powered by just one Bolt prompt.
- Achieving a seamless workflow where users can shape their book at every step.
- Making the AI responsive to user input, so each book feels unique and personalized.
What I learned
- A single, well-crafted prompt can be incredibly powerful and versatile—if you’re willing to put in the effort to fine-tune it.
- Users value creative control, so it’s important to design tools that empower rather than restrict.
- Sometimes, simplicity in architecture (one prompt, one flow) leads to better user experiences.
What's next for IDEOWRITE AI
- Adding collaboration features so teams can co-create books.
- Supporting multimedia elements like images and charts.
- Expanding to new genres and writing styles.
- Exploring premium features for advanced users.
