Inspiration
Two of our founders have lived in Lisbon as out-of-town students for five years. Beyond how hard it was to find a good house at a fair price, they struggled to find a place that truly matched their lifestyle. For example: Erasmus students may enjoy living together and don’t mind noise, while quieter, more disciplined people need a very different environment. That’s why we created HouseMatch, a swipe-based platform that goes beyond traditional marketplaces by matching homes to people’s personalities and lifestyles.
What it does
HouseMatch is a student-only housing platform that matches students and homes based on price, location, and lifestyle. It uses verified student accounts, personality-based reviews, and AI-powered recommendations in a swipe-based interface. Both students and landlords must mutually confirm interest before connecting.
