Many of the native species in Hawaii have become endangered because of the loss of habitat & competition from introduced species. Native species are a species that occur naturally in a region, without human assistance. Invasive species are alien species whose introduction does or is likely to cause economic or environmental harm and/or harm to human health. Invasive species are one of the largest threats to terrestrial, coastal & freshwater ecosystems, as well as being a major overall concern. We strive to create a fun, gamification application by using a treasure map to uncover & report invasive species while adventuring the Hawaiian Islands. The goal would be to create awareness & education amongst our users who include hikers, surfers, adventurers, children and environmentalists. We will launch locally on Oahu and will eventually spread to neighboring islands. Our key features that we are most proud of is the awareness and educational pieces paired with creating a fun user experience. We are an inspired team of happy people that want to make a big difference in our local community.
