Inspiration

We wanted to do something related to VR because it's a new platform and craved a challenge.

What it does

It is a video game where negative and positive words are literally targeted at you. Your job is to use your staff to break the negative words and use your hands to grab and keep the positive words.

How I built it

We built it using Unity and C#.

Challenges I ran into

We ran into a lot of challenges. We weren't as experienced with Unity to begin with and to tackle such a project where we had to use VR, it created even more problems. Such problems were figuring out RayCasting and making the controllers interact with the objects.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Our biggest achievement was finishing the game mechanics so that we had time to work on the aesthetics of the game.

What I learned

We learned a lot about how not to develop a game and how we can integrate Oculus or VR in Unity.

What's next for Harmony VR

We are not quite sure if we are going to continue development on this game but we will use what we learned in this Hackathon to develop another VR game sometime in the near future.
