Afraid of touching too many surfaces in current times ?

Now with the new HändeWegApp there's no longer the need to grap the wrapping on the hunt for ingredients, Nutri-Score or allergens information. With image recognition the product of interest is perceived, and all helpful attributes are conveniently displayed on your mobile phone.

Built with Unity and deployed on Android for a plethora of phones.

During the development process multiple challenges arose starting with recognizing the product, over parsing the Migros API to create a mobile layout with unity.

Nevertheless, an app could be coded which solves the above mentioned task for a selected range of products.

During the last two days valuable hands-on experience with vuforia, unity and APIs has been gained. Friendships built and maybe a couple pounds added.

As next steps a better image recognition would improve the user experience, including a classifier for better product recognition and a scalable layout to improve the fit for various phone screens.
