Inspiration

We find it hard to attend hackathons when we are without a team. Some teams may lack talent in specific areas, such as front-end, or mobile development.

What it does

Hackers are able to create profiles containing their skills, interests, and other relevant information. They are given a smooth user interface where they can view other teams, submissions, and possibly request to join them. Likewise, teams looking to recruit extra talent can draw from a pool of unmatched participants.

How we built it

Back-end is implemented using node.js and mongoDB, and the front-end is designed with a combination of AngularJS, jQuery, JavaScript, and styled with Semantic-UI.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating AngularJS with Semantic-UI, as it does not contain many compatible components and is still in a development phase. We also had trouble with initially deploying the back-end to a production.

Clean, smooth, responsive user inferface.

What's next for hackTogether

The ability to vote on projects, more connectivity between users, add funding functionality to projects.
