Inspiration

We all have a moment when we can't find something even though its right in front of us.

What it does

Analyzes cameras around the house to see where you left any item last. Allows the user to search up the object on our Android application which shows the user which rooms that object is in. Also allows the user to interact with Google Assistant to also locate the item.

How we built it

We used a python flask server hosted on heroku for back end using Google Cloud and Azure image recognition. Our front end uses an Android app built in Java

Challenges we ran into

Standardizing HTTP requests to link our back end and front end. Facial recognition and setting up the servers for cameras.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to link everything in the end and get it working with multiple use cases.

What we learned

How to work with Async tasks in android and sending images through JSONs.

What's next for HackDFW

We will be back with even more knowledge and more creative ideas
