GolfBid
Inspiration?
The requirements and the skill set with regards to the GolfNow challenge was a perfect match for our team skills. The technology was familiar to us and we felt that we could push the limits and create a good product that innovates using GolfNow's current technology.
We reviewed the available tech of the hackathon and felt that the GolfNow purchase integration with the televised steaming purchases would be a great combination.
Target?
The target user would be described as someone on a tight budget that loves to play golf and can find a great deal doing so.
GolfNow loses a lot of inventory and there is much more value in having a golfer at the course than it going unsold. Our software allows for the golfer to pick the price and if they get it, better for golfer, golf course owners and GolfNow.
The Spark?
The way we have gone about thinking about the system. We have created 2 layers on top of the GolfNow API. The 1ste being the abstracted API layer that handles all the bidding and the Interface that goes on the set top boxes. This code can easily be migrated and used on a variety of systems, like Mobile Apps, Desktop Apps.
