Inspiration

Shared living, shared frustration. Having cleaning schedules, but still, people don't clean or don't do it well. We thought that must have been more fun.

What it does

Chores become competition. Based on covered surfaces and time, we make cleaning a competition. Battle your roommates for the best times.

How we built it

We have used a combination of edge detection and ray casting height difference detection to create cleaning plane surfaces.

Challenges we ran into

Object world-mesh classification was supported in Lens Studio but not on the spectacles, making us need to create the logic ourselves.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

How everything came together. We got a working game with real-world use cases in consumer and business applications.

What we learned

Lens Studio, the entire team had never developed for spectacles before, and we are amazed at how fast we could put something together.

What's next for Germinators

We plan on adding more tools to our game, from dusters, vacuum mops, and trash pickers and to viral social sharing via mobile spectating. And of course, skins for monetization and fast scaling at the early stage. Furthermore, we plan on creating an enterprise edition for cleaning businesses where cleaners can compete with each other and battle for rewards. Improving employee happiness and recruitment. Well, if we win the spectacles off course ;)
