When I was a child, a particular game really stuck with me. A game that, even as a college student, remains one of my favorite games of all time. That game is telephone. Using Fonely, users play the classic game of telephone, but, like never before. The user can either choose to start a Fone (a game of telephone) or continue a game that's already been created. If they choose to start a new game, they can set the number of rounds, or times the message is passed along. Once, they set the rounds, they click the record button and record up to a brief 5 second message. Once they've finished recording the message, Google's SpeechRecognizer recognizes what has been said and, pending user confirmation that their message is the one displayed, saved for later. The sound message is then, like the actual game of telephone, distorted and distributed randomly to users around the world. If you choose to continue a game from the home screen, you will be given one of these random games. The round then begins with an audio clip. This clip may be from the originator of the Fone, or someone from the previous round. Regardless, it is your job to match what the person previously said. The closer the new sound is to the old sound, the more points the user gets.
