Inspiration
Flick Flow was inspired by our past experiences of watching Tiktok or Instagram Reels while eating or doing something else, and our hands being too busy to swipe down. We have all at some point wanted an auto-scroll feature, or a hands-free scrolling shortcut.
What it does
Flick Flow uses hand detection and gestures to scroll up or down on short video websites like Youtube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Tiktok.
How we built it
We built Flick Flow using Python and hand detection using the CV2 module.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into challenges making the front end and user interface of this application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating this project in our first in-person hackathon.
What we learned
We learned about creating demo videos, and how to use python to make a functional project.
What's next for Flick Flow
We will make a front-end for Flick Flow in the future.
