Once the prompts for the open-prototype were revealed, our team decided to brainstorm some project ideas related to natural disasters. We thought of some other ideas such as an emergency alert system, but we thought those were too common and easy to make, and so the concept of a wall sensor stood out to us. We decided to name the wall sensor Flamewatch. Furthermore we also were inspired by the number of lives being lost due to the LA fires and collapsing walls. The largest challenge we faced was with voltage and difficulty with the sensors provided. A more detailed google slides linked below.
