Inspiration

Sometimes, life gets chaotic—and we all need a graceful way out of awkward commitments, missed deadlines, or unexpected detours. Excusator 3000 was born from that universal need: to have a smart, funny, and context-aware AI tool that can instantly generate believable (or epic) excuses tailored to your situation.

Whether it’s work, social events, school, or family... we’ve got your back. And your way out.

What it does

Excusator 3000 is an AI-powered excuse generator that lets users:

• Choose a theme (like Work, Social, or Family)
• Instantly receive a set of 3 excuses, each with a tone: Casual, Creative, or Epic
• See confidence levels, delivery tips, and even copy/share with a click

It’s fun, smart, and surprisingly practical.

How we built it

I built the entire interface using one-shot prompting with Bolt.new. The design includes:

• Dynamic excuse generation by tone
• A clean, responsive UI with colorful cards
• Buttons for copying or sharing the generated excuses
• Theme switcher (random or work-focused for now)

All logic, visuals, and interaction flows were generated in a single prompt—no post-editing or manual coding.

• Humor is a powerful UX tool when paired with clarity and structure
• You can build fully functional, personality-rich apps with a single well-crafted prompt
• Prompt engineering for tone control (casual vs epic) is both art and science

What's next for Excusator3000

• Adding more themes (School, Dating, Friens, Roommates)
• Integrating voice output for spoken delivery
• Leaderboard of most used excuses (anonymous of course!)
