Inspiration
The inspiration came from my own frustration trying to find interesting local events to attend in my city. Between searching Facebook, individual venue websites, community boards and more, it required lots of effort to piece together and too often I'd hear about cool events after they happened.
What it does
It connects event planners and attendees for enhanced discovery and coordination. Search and explore upcoming events in your area like concerts, food festivals, conferences, pop-up shops and more. Customize and filter events by type, date, location, price point and other attributes so you only see relevant events. Save events of interest directly in the app and get reminder alerts leading up to the event dates. Easily coordinate with friends, family and groups by sharing event details and discussing plans. Discover related pre and after parties, transportation options, nearby attractions and other event add-ons. Provide feedback and reviews on events you’ve attended to help others make informed choices when exploring their options
How we built it
Our app was built using a cutting-edge cross-platform mobile development stack that prioritizes both user experience and performance.
On the front-end, we used HTML & CSS and JavaScript to craft intuitive and back-end , we used JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
Handling sudden event traffic spikes: Popular events can drive huge onboarding surges that strain infrastructure. Scaling up servers and networking capacity requires forecasting. Evolving mobile performance: Supporting consistent speed and stability across various devices and OS versions will be an ongoing engineering effort as models change.

We accomplised in making the website version and the team in general.
What we learned
We learned to deeply integrate user feedback into the development process. Features users ask for may not be what they actually need or use, so we evolved to trust observed behavior patterns over stated requests.
What's next for EventKonnect
With sufficient event data accumulated, we will further leverage machine learning to optimize event matching accuracies, recommendation personalization, demand forecasting, and content moderation. We aim to continue expanding the reach of our platform by launching in Africa. Localization efforts are underway to customize for these new domestic and international markets
