Inspiration

Bad dental hygiene can lead to poor physical health and mental health. However, many people do not put dental care as their priority, mainly because they believe dental care is expensive or they are afraid of dentists.

What it does

It's a website that lets you book appointments with dentists online using your ZIP code/post code, and it will show you the dental clinics that are available around the area, including its average cost, reviews, and ratings. It also allows new and upcoming dental clinics to register under the website so that the clinics can be viewed on the website.

How we built it

Next.js serves as our full-stack framework, Tailwind serves as our design framework, and MongoDB serves as our database. We refer to the MongoDB documentation for CRUD operations.

Challenges we ran into

Time. We might be able to implement the dental clinic review portion if we have additional time.
Icon. While attempting to import FontAwesome's icons, we run into a number of issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is our first hackathon, and we are proud that we can finish a project under the time limit given.

What we learned

We learned to plan carefully and properly for future hackathons, and that we need to improve on our UI.

What's next for dentixt

Implement an email API (perhaps mailchimp) to send confirmation emails to the doctor and patients. Scrape data from the Internet with a bot. While registering for reservations, use tensorflow.js to grade the patient's teeth.
